Kuldeep Yadav delivered a career-best first-class performance on Thursday, September 10, taking 10 wickets for 120 runs as Yorkshire defeated Essex by an innings and 106 runs inside three days at Headingley in the Rothesay County Championship. The Indian left-arm wrist-spinner took 4 for 70 in the first innings and 6 for 50 in the second, his maiden 10-wicket match haul and best figures in first-class cricket. Yorkshire posted 390 in their first innings, with Dom Bess contributing an unbeaten 80, Adam Lyth making 62, Revis scoring 61 and Luxton adding 50.
