The sons of former Pakistani Prime Minister and cricket legend Imran Khan have publicly criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board, accusing it of making "absolute fools of themselves" over its reported threat to withdraw the team from a Test match in England following a televised interview about their father's health and detention. The controversy erupted during the second Test against England at Lord's, when Sky Sports aired a recorded interview with Sulaiman and Kasim Khan, conducted by former England captain Michael Atherton. According to multiple reports, the PCB, led by chairman Mohsin Naqvi, contacted the broadcaster before the interview aired during the lunch break on the first day of the match. The board reportedly threatened that Pakistan players would not return to the field if the segment was broadcast. Sky Sports delayed the interview but ultimately aired an 18-minute clip. The England and Wales Cricket Board intervened, and the match continued without interruption. Pakistan captain Babar Azam and former head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed later stated they were unaware of any boycott threat, suggesting the dispute occurred at an administrative level.
