Jury Finds Tyreek Hill Liable for Two Battery Counts, Awards $500,000

Published 14 October 2026

A Miami jury found Tyreek Hill liable for two counts of battery against Keeta Vaccaro and awarded her $500,000 in compensatory damages, while rejecting the other claims it decided and awarding no punitive damages. The findings concern incidents on January 11, 2024, and April 7, 2025, during the couple’s marriage. The verdict was returned Tuesday, October 13, after a civil trial in Miami-Dade County. The jury found Hill not liable on eight other claims, including additional battery allegations, assault and continuing domestic violence. One count was dismissed by Vaccaro’s lawyers on the day of the verdict, according to a trial account. The award was compensatory, not punitive. The civil verdict establishes liability on the two battery counts but is not a criminal conviction and does not resolve allegations beyond the claims the jury decided. At trial, Vaccaro alleged that Hill physically abused her on multiple occasions. Hill denied most of those allegations. He testified that he shoved her into a wall during an argument, saying he was trying to force her away. The jury’s findings do not determine the truth of allegations on which it found Hill not liable.
