Judge Restricts Dolly Parton Nephew in Estate Dispute

A Tennessee judge on September 23 issued a temporary restraining order against Bryan Seaver and his private security company, limiting their access to Shes Alive property and contact with the organization’s employees and business partners. The order followed allegations in a court filing that Seaver threatened people connected with Dolly Parton’s estate, claims he disputes. The order bars Seaver and his company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, from entering Shes Alive property or contacting, or coming within 1,000 feet of, its employees and business partners. It also restricts interference with the organization’s business relationships. A hearing is scheduled for October 7. Shes Alive, the entity established to manage and protect Parton’s estate, sought the order in a complaint filed against Seaver and the company. According to the court filing, Seaver sent messages threatening to damage Parton’s brand and business relationships and demanding payment. The filing also alleges that he threatened violence and retaliation. The judge’s temporary order cited the alleged threats, demands for payment and claimed access to weapons among the factors considered.
