Jin Sakai Returns in Ghost of Yōtei Most Wanted

Jin Sakai, the iconic protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima, is returning as a playable character in Ghost of Yōtei's new singleplayer combat survival mode, Most Wanted. The announcement was made during a State of Play showcase on September 3, 2026, with the mode set to launch on October 1, 2026. Most Wanted is described as a roguelike-inspired experience where players select bounties targeting members of the Yōtei Six. Each attempt involves surviving escalating waves of enemies and minibosses before facing the designated final target. The mode encourages learning and adaptation, as players gain temporary perks during each run that can influence their build and strategy. These perks can relate to weapon mastery, gear, summons, parries, or survivability, requiring players to create synergistic combinations rather than simply stacking damage. Beyond temporary buffs, players can earn in-game currency called "Mon" during their runs. This currency can be spent between attempts on permanent upgrades, including new techniques, weapon enhancements, charms, and character unlocks. This progression system aims to give purpose to failed runs by allowing players to invest in future attempts.
