Jennifer Aniston interviews boyfriend Jim Curtis at New York book event

Published 3 September 2026

Jennifer Aniston interviewed her boyfriend, Jim Curtis, on stage in New York on Wednesday night, marking a rare public appearance for the couple as they promoted his new book. The event, held at the Kaufmann Concert Hall at 92NY Residence, was a sold-out conversation about Curtis's book, The Book of Possibility, and featured personal revelations from both about their relationship and individual journeys. Aniston, 57, and Curtis, 50, displayed an easy rapport throughout the 30-minute interview. The actress opened with a lighthearted joke, recalling that the venue was where she attended gym classes in high school. She told the audience she used to play dodgeball there, then turned to Curtis and quipped, "Well... speaking of dodging balls...!" prompting laughter from the crowd. The playful banter continued as Curtis later joked that the hardest part of writing the book was choosing the cover photo, asking Aniston repeatedly for her opinion. The conversation turned more serious as Curtis discussed his personal struggles. He shared that in his early 20s, doctors discovered lesions on his spinal cord, leading to partial paralysis and chronic nerve damage.
