Jaguars beat Eagles 19-17 on Little’s final-seconds kick
The Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 19-17 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday, when Cam Little kicked a 57-yard field goal as time expired. The kick completed a dramatic finish after Philadelphia had taken the lead with eight seconds left. Jake Elliott put the Eagles ahead 17-16 with a 48-yard field goal. Jacksonville then got the ball to Ameer Abdullah, whose 53-yard return brought the Jaguars into scoring range with one second remaining. Little converted the winning kick. Accounts differ on whether Abdullah’s return came on a kickoff or a punt. The return’s length and its role in setting up the field goal were reported consistently, but the type of kick was not. The Eagles had taken a 14-7 halftime lead after scoring touchdowns on drives by Will Shipley and Darius Cooper. Jacksonville cut the margin with a 34-yard Little field goal in the third quarter, then moved in front late in the fourth when Trevor Lawrence connected with Parker Washington for a 27-yard touchdown. Little missed the extra point, leaving the Jaguars ahead 16-14. Philadelphia’s late field goal briefly appeared to settle the game.
