Israeli military says three men killed in Gaza strikes
The Israeli military said it killed three men in separate strikes in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza on October 3 and 4, identifying them as members or operatives of Hamas. The claims about the men’s roles and alleged activities were not independently verified in the reports. The military said Saqr Nabil Musa Qaisi was killed in a strike on October 4 and identified him as a member of Hamas’s Nukhba force. Al-Aqsa Hospital also announced his death after a strike on a vehicle in southern Gaza, according to reporting. The military alleged that Qaisi had taken part in the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel and had advanced attacks against Israeli forces and civilians during the war. The military further said Qaisi directed Deniz Feneri, a Turkish organization it described as a humanitarian aid group, and alleged that he used the role to employ Hamas operatives and provide financial support to them. Those allegations were not independently substantiated in the reports. Deniz Feneri reportedly denied that Qaisi was its director, describing him instead as a member and volunteer. The available accounts do not resolve his role in the organization.
