IndiGo Flight Hits Pole During Parking at Srinagar Airport

An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai to Srinagar struck a pole while being parked at Srinagar airport on Friday morning, damaging the aircraft but causing no injuries to passengers or crew. The incident involved IndiGo flight 6E 225, which had landed safely and was being moved to its parking position when it came into contact with a Visual Docking Guidance System pole at approximately 9:00 a.m. local time. Airport officials confirmed that all 176 passengers and crew members on board the Airbus A320 aircraft, registered as VTNOG, were safe. The passengers and crew were deboarded using manual aircraft stairs, and airport operations continued normally with flights arriving and departing on schedule. The Airport Authority of India stated that the details and circumstances leading to the incident would be examined by the appropriate authorities according to prescribed procedures. "The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage," the authority said in a statement.
