India completed a 3-0 T20I series whitewash against Afghanistan with a dominant 127-run victory in the third and final match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday. The win capped a comprehensive series performance by the hosts, who won all three matches by large margins. The decisive match was highlighted by a record-breaking innings from opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored 108 runs off just 34 balls. His century set the record for the fastest T20I hundred by a batter from a Test-playing nation, surpassing the previous mark held by Rohit Sharma. Sharma's aggressive start, alongside Sanju Samson who contributed 50, powered India to a total of 221 for 7 in their 20 overs. Afghanistan, chasing a formidable target, were bowled out for 94 in 14.1 overs. The Indian bowling attack maintained relentless pressure after an initial positive start from the visitors. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravi Bishnoi were the most effective bowlers, each claiming three wickets. Reddy's performance was particularly notable, as he also took three wickets in the second match.
