HYPE Added to Nasdaq CME Crypto Index in Quarterly Rebalancing
Hyperliquid's native token, HYPE, has been added to the Nasdaq CME Crypto Index, marking a significant step in its integration into mainstream financial products. The inclusion, effective as of a prospectus supplement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, occurred through the quarterly rebalancing of the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index US ETF, known by its ticker NCIQ. The move means HYPE now joins a diversified basket of cryptocurrencies within the regulated fund, alongside Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and others. According to the index methodology, HYPE qualified for inclusion after meeting strict eligibility requirements that assess factors such as market capitalization, liquidity, custody support, and listing venue quality. The index also applies SEC generic listing standards for crypto asset exchange-traded products. With this adjustment, HYPE debuts in the index with a 3.36% weighting, placing it immediately behind Bitcoin at 74.36%, Ethereum at 11.88%, XRP at 5.21%, and Solana at 3.79%.
