Houthis Claim Attacks on Aramco Sites, Threaten More Strikes

Published 13 October 2026

Yemen’s Houthi movement said Wednesday it had targeted Saudi Aramco facilities in Dhahran, an Aramco refinery in Riyadh and King Khalid International Airport, and threatened further attacks on Saudi airports and oil sites. Saudi authorities said a missile was intercepted near Aramco’s Dhahran complex on Tuesday night, causing a limited fire at an administrative building but no casualties. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group used missiles and drones in the attacks and would continue operations in the coming days. The Houthis did not specify when the newly claimed attacks on the Riyadh sites took place. Saudi authorities have not confirmed all the targets named by the group. The Saudi Energy Ministry described the fire at the Dhahran complex as limited. Separately, two regional officials told the Associated Press that the top three floors of a building used by senior Aramco executives were damaged, and one said the chief executive’s office was hit. Those details came from officials speaking anonymously; the extent of the damage has not been independently verified. Aramco did not immediately respond to a request for comment, according to reports.
