Heated Rivalry Season 2 Filming Underway With New Cast
Filming is underway for the second season of the Crave and HBO Max series "Heated Rivalry," with several prominent actors joining the cast. Milla Jovovich, Kevin Zegers, and Paul Gross are among the new additions to the romance drama, which continues to adapt Rachel Reid's "Game Changers" book series. Jovovich will portray Dr. Galina Molchalina, a Russian-speaking therapist based in Ottawa who works with Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. Dr. Molchalina helps Ilya navigate his mental health struggles, including family trauma and depression, as depicted in Reid's novel "The Long Game," a primary source for the upcoming season. Kevin Zegers joins the cast as Coach Brandon Wiebe, the new head coach of the Ottawa Centaurs. Wiebe, a former NHL player and an openly bisexual character, becomes a significant source of support for Ilya. Paul Gross will play Commissioner Roger Crowell, the head of the National Hockey League. Crowell is characterized as an antagonist who resists change and attempts to suppress player activism, particularly targeting LGBTQ+ players like Ilya and Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams.
