Hayden Panettiere Remembered at Malibu Memorial Service

A memorial service for actress Hayden Panettiere was held on September 19 in Malibu, California, attended by approximately 150 guests including former colleagues and friends. The celebration of life took place at a church, with attendees including former Nashville costars Connie Britton, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, and Charles Esten. Britton and Esten delivered speeches during the ceremony, and Esten performed one of Panettiere's songs from the show Nashville with a band. Guests also observed a dove release outside the church before the indoor service. Panettiere died on August 16 at her home in Greenville, South Carolina. She was 36 years old. The Greenville Police Department and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are investigating her death, which remains pending the completion of toxicology results. Her representative has stated that reports attributing her death to a fentanyl-laced pill are unverified hearsay and that the cause is under investigation. Her father, Skip Panettiere, attended the memorial. However, her mother, Lesley Vogel, was reportedly not invited, though a source close to her denies this and states she did not attend due to a family emergency.
