Legal AI startup Harvey announced on September 9, 2026, that it has secured $550 million in new funding, bringing its valuation to between $15.5 billion and $15.6 billion. The funding round was co-led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors including Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, and a16z, as well as new backers like Sapphire Ventures and Whale Rock Capital Management. This latest investment marks a significant increase from the $200 million round closed in March 2026, which valued the company at $11 billion. Since its founding in 2022, Harvey has raised over $1.55 billion in total capital. The company stated the new funds will be used to advance its platform development, including proprietary legal models, the Harvey LAB benchmark for AI agents, and to support hiring and broader technological expansion. Harvey reported that it now serves more than 3,000 organizations, including 80 of the Am Law 100 firms and five Fortune 10 companies. Its annual recurring revenue has surpassed $400 million. In conjunction with the funding announcement, Harvey also acquired AI agent security startup Guardrails AI.
