Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch with a frame rate of 30 frames per second on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles, Rockstar Games has confirmed, though the developer has not ruled out the possibility of higher-performance options after release. The confirmation comes as the highly anticipated game approaches its launch on November 19, 2026. The information was shared by Rob Nelson, Lead Developer and Co-Director at Rockstar North, during recent preview sessions with content creators. According to reports from YouTuber Davy Jones and the Portuguese outlet Flow Games, Nelson stated that during the current development period, the game is running at 30fps on consoles.
