The Netflix exclusive strategy, while controversial for requiring a subscription to view the reveal immediately, proved to be a massive success for Rockstar Games. The presentation offered an extended look at the game, which is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026. The high viewership occurred even as a person or group using the name "Cyberleek" leaked full gameplay clips in the days prior, claiming access to a playable build. Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, is currently investigating the source of the leak.
