Greece hands Klopp first defeat as Germany coach

Germany lost 1-0 to Greece in Augsburg on Sunday, giving Jürgen Klopp his first defeat as national team coach and leaving him without a win after two matches in charge. Dimitrios Kourbelis scored the only goal in the 74th minute, his shot deflecting off Joshua Kimmich before finding the net. The defeat came in Klopp’s first home match since taking charge. Germany had opened his tenure with a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands on Thursday. Greece’s victory was reported as its first ever against Germany, ending a run of seven losses and three draws dating back to 1960.
