Jeff Dean, a foundational figure in Google's artificial intelligence research and one of the company's earliest employees, has left after 27 years to launch a new AI startup called Discovery Loop. He is joined by three other prominent Google AI veterans: Sanjay Ghemawat, Oriol Vinyals, and Quoc Le.
