GoFundMe Launched for Television Guitarist Richard Lloyd's Cancer Battle
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Richard Lloyd, the founding guitarist of the influential band Television, who is battling a serious form of bile duct cancer. The fundraiser, organized by his bandmate Sean Seymour, aims to cover mounting medical expenses and living costs as Lloyd faces an inability to work. Lloyd, who helped define the sound of post-punk with Television's landmark 1977 album "Marquee Moon," was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma earlier this year. According to the fundraising page, the cancer has resulted in tumors in his liver, including one located dangerously close to a major blood vessel.
