Glastonbury 2027 general tickets sell out in 42 minutes

Published 4 October 2026

Glastonbury Festival’s 2027 general-admission tickets sold out 42 minutes after sales opened on Sunday, October 4, according to a sold-out notice from ticket seller See Tickets. The 9 a.m. sale used a revised queue system that assigned each registration a single place, regardless of how many devices or browser tabs were used. The festival, held at Worthy Farm in Somerset, is scheduled to return from June 23 to June 27, 2027, after a fallow year in 2026. See Tickets said confirmation emails were being sent to buyers and thanked those who purchased tickets, while apologizing to people who missed out. Glastonbury’s sale instructions said customers had to enter registration details before joining the virtual queue. A progress bar showed how close a buyer was to reaching the booking page. The instructions also warned people not to use multiple devices or tabs, and said doing so could cost them their place. The updated approach was intended to address bots and ticket resellers, but the reports do not establish whether it was effective. A sale update displayed on the queue page at 9:26 a.m. said more than half of the available tickets had been sold.
