Gias Foods Expands Lemon Alfredo Pasta Recall to All Lots

Published 3 October 2026

Gias Foods has expanded its recall of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine to cover every lot code after the frozen pasta was found to possibly contain Listeria monocytogenes, according to a company notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on October 1. The product is sold at Walmart stores nationwide. The company says no illnesses have been reported. The recall applies to 22-ounce frozen bags bearing UPC 194346442706, regardless of lot code or date. The initial recall, announced September 15, covered two lots. With the expansion, shoppers should treat any bag matching the product name and UPC as included, rather than relying on a lot code to determine whether it is affected. The notice says routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services found that the finished product may contain Listeria monocytogenes. The supplied information does not explain why the recall widened from two lots to all lot codes. The company and FDA are continuing to investigate the cause, according to the notice.
