Gal Gadot Defends AI Use in Bitcoin Film

Gal Gadot is starring in a new film that uses artificial intelligence to create its sets and lighting, a process she defended despite her own fears about the technology. The actress discussed her role in the Doug Liman-directed movie, titled Bitcoin, during an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, explaining that she negotiated an extensive contract to protect her performance from AI involvement. The film, which also stars Casey Affleck, Pete Davidson, and Isla Fisher, was shot over 20 days on a custom-built soundstage. According to Gadot, the production used AI to generate the visual environment, allowing the cast to perform in a stripped-down space. She compared the experience to theater, noting that the lack of physical sets and lighting setups allowed for continuous filming. "We would film nonstop because we didn't have to wait for lighting. We would film on and on and on for 10 hours," Gadot said. While Gadot expressed apprehension about AI, she emphasized the need to adapt. "I am afraid of AI, but I am going to be afraid and look away? No," she stated. "The train has left the station. You're going to work with it or be out of the game completely.
