The United States and Iran have signed an agreement to end their months-long military conflict and reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. The memorandum of understanding, signed by U.S. President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, took effect immediately.
