Four killed and four wounded in Green Hill shooting

Four people were killed and four others wounded in a shooting in Green Hill, near Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on Friday night, Acting Police Commissioner Trevor Bailey said. Police had made no arrests and had not established a motive as of a Saturday briefing, while two of the wounded remained hospitalized. Bailey said officers responded to reports of gunfire and found four people with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. Two bodies were on a public road, a woman was found in a vehicle parked on the road, and the fourth person was on adjacent land. The four injured people were taken to Milton Cato Memorial Hospital. Police said two were treated and discharged and two were still receiving care at the time of the briefing. Police said investigators were working to identify those responsible. The available accounts differ on whether the Green Hill attack was linked to gang activity: one described it as apparently gang-related, while another reported that police had not determined whether criminal groups were involved.
