Final Fantasy VII Revelation Launches April 8, 2027

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Revelation, the third and final installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, will launch on April 8, 2027. The release date was announced during a PlayStation State of Play presentation on September 3, 2026, alongside an extended gameplay showcase. The game will be available simultaneously on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, marking the first time a mainline Final Fantasy VII title has launched on all major platforms at once. This multi-platform release follows the staggered launches of its predecessors, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which were initially PlayStation exclusives. The State of Play trailer provided a detailed look at gameplay, highlighting the return of the Highwind airship for seamless world exploration. Players will also have access to the Chocobo Piko for ground travel and a variety of side activities, including a new camera feature that allows for photographing cats in locations like Wutai.
