Final Fantasy 7 Revelation Launch Date Confirmed for April 2027

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, the concluding chapter of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy, will launch on April 8, 2027. The release date was announced during a PlayStation State of Play presentation on September 3, 2026, which featured an extended gameplay showcase for the highly anticipated title. The presentation revealed that the game will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. The showcase provided the first detailed look at several new gameplay systems and features. A significant addition is mounted combat on Chocobos, which players can engage in while riding. The Chocobos will grow stronger as the story progresses, though players can dismount at any time to fight on foot. The video also introduced a new FITS system, which assigns party members unique roles based on their outfits. Two new roles were highlighted: Summoner, which allows characters to synergize with summoned entities like Ifrit, and Knight, which functions as a tank to support allies.
