Elden Ring Update 1.17 Adds DLC and Balance Changes

FromSoftware has released a major new update for its acclaimed action role-playing game Elden Ring, delivering long-awaited downloadable content and a suite of balance changes alongside the game's launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. The update, version 1.17, rolled out on August 28, 2026, across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and the newly supported Switch 2 platform. The release marks the arrival of the Tarnished Pack, a paid DLC that adds new content to the game. This pack is included with the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, a standalone version for the Switch 2 that bundles the original game with its Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
