Eight Sleep launches Pod 6 with Solo models from $1,999

Eight Sleep announced its Pod 6 sleep system on September 23, offering new Solo configurations starting at $1,999 and Standard models starting at $2,699. The company says the redesigned system has a hub about half the size of its predecessor, intended to fit beneath most bed frames, and adds more sensors to the mattress cover. The Solo option is designed for one sleeper, either on a Twin-size mattress or on one side of a larger bed. Standard models cover the full mattress and are offered in Queen, King and California King sizes. Standard prices rise with size, reaching $2,999 for King and California King models, according to the reported product pricing. The lower entry price does not include all costs of using the system. Pod 6 requires an Autopilot subscription, with reported plans ranging from $199 to $399 per year. The membership provides access to the system’s biometric tracking and automatic temperature adjustments. As a result, the $1,999 Solo price is the upfront device cost rather than the full cost of ownership. Eight Sleep says the Pod 6 cover contains 18 biometric sensors, compared with two in the Pod 5.
