Dyson has officially entered the oral care market with the launch of the CameraJet, a high-tech electric toothbrush that combines brushing, flossing, and rinsing into a single device. Unveiled on September 1, 2026, the CameraJet features a built-in camera and artificial intelligence to identify and clean the gaps between teeth in real time. The product represents the company's first foray into oral hygiene, applying its engineering expertise to a daily routine that many consumers neglect. The core innovation is Dyson's "Gap Optical Targeting" system. A 100,000-pixel macro camera mounted under the brush head analyzes 28 live images per second to identify interdental spaces. Within 100 milliseconds of detecting a gap, the device automatically fires a precision burst of mouth rinse. This process is powered by a machine learning algorithm trained on 470,000 dental images collected during six years of development. The system runs on 16 million lines of code and is designed to make flossing an integrated part of brushing.
