Drunk History Returns with New Episodes on YouTube

Published 9 September 2026

The Emmy Award-winning comedy series Drunk History is set to return with three new short-form episodes, seven years after its original run concluded on Comedy Central. The new installments will premiere on Comedy Central's YouTube channel beginning Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Co-created by Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner, the series is known for its distinctive format: inebriated storytellers recount historical events, with actors and comedians lip-syncing to their dialogue in reenactments. The upcoming episodes will explore a variety of subjects, including Madonna's iconic first performance of "Like a Virgin" at the MTV Video Music Awards, with Meghan Trainor portraying the pop star. Another episode will focus on Frances Perkins, the first woman to serve in a presidential cabinet and a key architect of Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal. The third installment will delve into the lifelong rivalry between two men vying to create the world's largest ball of twine. Lisa Gilroy, Patton Oswalt, and Marisha Ray are set to serve as narrators for the new episodes.
