DoorDash Adds Five Retail Brands and a Returns Service
DoorDash announced partnerships with Macy’s, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans and Timberland to offer products from the retailers through its marketplace, while introducing a paid pickup service for eligible returns. The company said the retail delivery options are available in the United States and that Dasher Returns, currently offered in select markets, is planned to expand nationwide in November. The new partnerships allow customers to order apparel and other merchandise from participating stores for delivery by DoorDash drivers. DoorDash says Macy’s will offer apparel, beauty products and home goods from more than 350 stores. Anthropologie’s assortment will come from more than 220 stores, and The North Face, Vans and Timberland will draw on a combined network of more than 350 stores. Delivery times vary by retailer and location; DoorDash has described delivery from Macy’s and Anthropologie in as little as an hour, while some Macy’s orders may take up to two hours. The Macy’s agreement broadens a relationship that dates to 2020, when the retailer began using DoorDash’s Drive On-Demand service for same-day delivery from its own website.
