Delhi Man Murdered After Gurugram Meeting, Ex-Colleague Arrested
Delhi Police have arrested a former colleague and her partner in connection with the murder of a 31-year-old HR professional whose body was found in a drain in Gurugram days after he went missing. The victim, Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, was allegedly killed after being lured to Gurugram for a meeting. According to police, Manchanda, a resident of Sarita Vihar in Delhi, went missing on September 6 after leaving a restaurant in Lajpat Nagar. He had told his sister he needed to attend an urgent meeting in Gurugram and would return home by 10 p.m. His phone was later found switched off. A missing person complaint was filed on September 11. During the investigation, police analyzed call records, CCTV footage, and technical data, which indicated Manchanda's last conversation was with his former colleague, Anya Vats. Both of their phones were switched off. Police later detected a new mobile number allegedly used by Vats. Technical surveillance traced her to Uttarakhand, where a Delhi Police team arrested Vats and her partner, Sanyam Sachdeva, from the Kainchi Dham area. During questioning, both accused allegedly confessed to the murder.
