Cyrus voices post-marriage 'ick' fears with fiancé Morando

Published 19 September 2026

Miley Cyrus has opened up about her fears regarding marriage to fiancé Maxx Morando, admitting she worries about getting "the ick" after tying the knot. The pop star shared these concerns in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, which was released on September 17, 2026. Cyrus and Morando, a drummer for the band Liily, have been together for six years and announced their engagement in December 2025. In the interview, Cyrus, 33, reflected on her relationship with Morando, 27, and the unexpected anxiety that has accompanied their upcoming marriage. "We've been together six years, and I've never gotten the ick," Cyrus told Lowe. "All of a sudden I got in my head, I was like, Oh my God, we're about to get married. What if I get the ick?" She recounted asking Morando what would happen if she experienced this feeling post-marriage, to which he responded, "You deal with it and you move on and you don't be a baby. The ick is for when you're in fifth grade." Cyrus laughed as she shared that Morando soon did something that triggered the ick for her. "He did something that icked me for a minute," she said. "I was like, Don't ever do that again. It gave me the ick.
