Cardano, Blockforce Launch Brazil Supply Chain System Anchoring 500,000 Records

The Cardano Foundation and Brazilian technology firm Blockforce have launched a supply chain verification system in Brazil that uses the Cardano blockchain as a public proof layer, with the platform already anchoring cryptographic evidence for more than 500,000 commercial records. The deployment, announced on August 31, 2026, is currently being used by major Brazilian fashion companies, including Azzas 2154, to trace leather supplies. The system operates on a dual-ledger architecture designed to balance confidentiality with independent verification. Sensitive business data, such as supplier identities, prices, and contracts, are stored on a private, permissioned network. For each supply chain event, a cryptographic proof is generated and anchored to the public Cardano blockchain. This allows auditors or regulators to verify that a record has not been altered since it was anchored, without exposing the underlying commercial details. The Cardano Foundation stated that this approach ensures business confidentiality while enabling integrity checks by third parties. A key challenge for such enterprise systems is the cost of publishing individual blockchain transactions at scale.
