BuzzFeed, the digital media company, announced a major restructuring this week, laying off approximately 35 percent of its workforce in a move to cut costs and pursue profitability. The cuts eliminate about 180 employee and contractor roles across BuzzFeed, its news site HuffPost, and its recipe publisher Tasty.
