The body of renowned British-Nepali mountaineer Nirmal "Nims" Purja was recovered on August 2, three days after he and nine other climbers were killed in an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan. The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) confirmed that Purja’s body was found at an elevation of approximately 5,700 meters.
