Production has officially begun on the eighth season of the dystopian anthology series Black Mirror for Netflix, marking a swift return for the acclaimed show. Filming commenced in the United Kingdom this summer, with creator Charlie Brooker overseeing the shoot in the coastal village of Hope Cove in Devon, where a location was transformed into the fictional Sandcastle Hotel for the production. No release date has been announced for the new installment. The confirmation of production follows Brooker's earlier announcement in January 2026 that the series would return. "I can confirm that Black Mirror will return, just in time for reality to catch up with it," Brooker said at the time.
