AWOL Vision LuxVision 4K 120Hz UST projector
AWOL Vision has unveiled its new flagship ultrashortthrow projector, the LuxVision, at IFA 2026 in Berlin. The company claims it is the world's first 4K projector capable of a 120Hz refresh rate that also features optical lens shift. Designed to sit inches from a wall or screen, the LuxVision can project images up to 200 inches diagonally. The projector utilizes an RGB triple-laser light engine, producing 6,000 ISO lumens of brightness. This high output is intended to allow for vibrant visuals even in rooms with ambient light, reducing the need for a completely dark environment. Its ultrashortthrow ratio of 0.181 means it can cast a large image from a minimal distance. For picture quality, the LuxVision supports 110% of the Rec. 2020 color space, Dynamic Tone Mapping, and a seven-level dynamic iris. It is compatible with Dolby Vision, IMAX Enhanced, Filmmaker Mode, and active 3D playback. To address potential visual artifacts, AWOL Vision has incorporated its second-generation AntiRBE technology alongside TÜV Harmful Light Reduction, aiming to minimize rainbow effects and eye strain, particularly during high-contrast scenes.
