Houthis Claim New Attacks on Saudi Energy and Airport Sites

Published 13 October 2026

Yemen’s Houthi movement said Wednesday it had targeted Saudi Aramco facilities, an oil refinery and an airport, and vowed further attacks. The claims followed a strike on Aramco’s headquarters in Dhahran the previous day, which Saudi officials said caused a limited fire but no injuries or deaths. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree named Aramco facilities in Dhahran, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and an Aramco refinery in the Saudi capital as targets. He said the group would continue operations against airports and oil facilities in the coming days. The Houthis did not specify when the newly claimed attacks took place, and Saudi authorities had not confirmed all the target details. Saudi Arabia’s Energy Ministry said the October 13 attack on an administrative building at Aramco’s Dhahran headquarters caused a limited fire, with no casualties. A company source separately told Reuters that a ballistic missile struck the headquarters complex and damaged the top three floors of an office tower. The ministry account and the company source’s description differed in detail, but both placed an attack at the complex.
