Asian Restaurant Awards 2026 finalists announced

Finalists for the 2026 Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA) have been announced, with winners to be revealed at a ceremony on October 12, 2026, at the London Hilton on Park Lane. The awards, often referred to as the "Oscars of the curry industry," celebrate the UK's best Asian restaurants and takeaways. More than 1,250 restaurants and takeaways across the UK were nominated by diners and food enthusiasts for the 2026 awards. Finalists were selected from over 30 categories, including regional and national awards, based on nominations, social media engagement, food hygiene ratings, and verified customer reviews. A significant portion of entries were submitted through ChefOnline, the awards' strategic partner. Mohammed Munim, founder and CEO of ARTA, congratulated all finalists, stating they reflect passion, resilience, and dedication in Asian hospitality. He noted that at a time when rising employment costs, inflation, and increasing overheads challenge independent hospitality, Asian restaurants and takeaways remain vital to communities and the wider UK hospitality industry. The ceremony will be hosted by BBC journalist Samantha Simmonds and comedian Paul Sinha.
