Ariana Grande Releases Surprise Live Album 'Petal'
Ariana Grande has surprise-released a live album titled *Petal (The Complete Live Album)*, making it available exclusively on iTunes as of September 8, 2026. The new project features live renditions of all 12 tracks from her eighth studio album, *Petal*, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in July 2026. The live album also includes a rehearsal recording of the studio LP's lead single, "Hate That I Made You Love Me." The surprise release follows the recent conclusion of Grande's Eternal Sunshine Tour, which wrapped up on September 1. The tour had been described by Grande as a potential "last hurrah" for music for an extended period, as she previously indicated a desire to focus more on acting and take a break from releasing music at her previous pace. Grande had stated that the studio album *Petal* was about "breaking up with all different kinds of negative attachments" and exploring a more "feral" side of herself, a departure from what she had previously felt too shy to tap into. Grande's decision to step back from public engagements, announced in early August, is attributed to "endless, ongoing public scrutiny.
