Ariana Grande Ends Tour, Begins Hiatus

Published 4 September 2026

Ariana Grande brought her Eternal Sunshine tour to an emotional close on Tuesday, September 1, at London's O2 Arena, delivering a tearful farewell to fans before beginning a planned hiatus from public life. The pop star concluded a 41-show international run that began in June, thanking the audience for what she called one of the "most beautiful, extraordinary experiences" of her life. During the final performance, Grande paused her set to address the sold-out crowd from a stool on the secondary stage. "I just want to say thank you so much," she said, her voice breaking with emotion. "This has been such an extraordinary experience. Thank you for 10 beautiful London shows and for 41 incredible Eternal Sunshine tour shows." She continued, "This has been one of the most beautiful, extraordinary experiences of my life and I just want to express my gratitude without sobbing completely. But really, thank you from the bottom of my heart, it's been so special and I'll cherish this experience always." The singer expressed particular appreciation for her fans' dedication, noting their elaborate costumes and makeup. "I have the best fans in the entire world and I always have," she said.
