Apple Unveils Foldable iPhone and iPhone 18 Series
Apple is set to unveil a range of new products at its "Surprise and Shine" event on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. The highly anticipated keynote, beginning at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. ET), is expected to mark the company's entry into the foldable smartphone market with its first foldable iPhone. The device, widely referred to as the "iPhone Ultra" in reports, is also rumored to be called "iPhone Duo" or "iPhone Fold." It is anticipated to feature a book-style design, opening to reveal a large internal display, reportedly around 7.8 inches, complemented by a smaller external screen. Leaks suggest the foldable may incorporate two rear cameras and potentially use Touch ID. Powered by Apple's new A20 chip, the foldable iPhone is expected to carry a premium price tag, with most reports indicating a cost starting around $2,000. Alongside the foldable device, Apple is also expected to announce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. These models are anticipated to feature incremental updates, possibly including smaller Dynamic Islands and improved camera systems. Both Pro models are also expected to run on the A20 chip.
