Google hikes prices for TV streamer, Nest devices over costs
Google has raised the prices of its Google TV Streamer and a range of Nest smart home devices in the United States, citing rising component costs as the reason for the increases. The new pricing took effect on August 31, 2026. The most significant change applies to the Google TV Streamer 4K, which saw its price jump by $50, from $99.99 to $149.99. This marks the first price increase for the streaming device since its launch in 2024. The updated price is already reflected on the Google Store and at Best Buy. However, Amazon continues to sell the device at its original launch price, creating a temporary discrepancy in the market.
