Amelia Dimoldenberg to End 'Chicken Shop Date' After 12 Years
Amelia Dimoldenberg, the creator and host of the popular YouTube interview series "Chicken Shop Date," announced on September 3, 2026, that the show will conclude after more than a decade. In an Instagram post, the 32-year-old British personality stated that the final episodes are forthcoming, marking the end of a cultural phenomenon that began when she was a teenager. Dimoldenberg reflected on the show's journey, which started as a column for a youth club magazine before launching on YouTube in 2014. "When I was 17 I had a fantastic idea that I might meet the love of my life on a date in a chicken shop," she wrote. "I've spent my entire twenties sitting across from the most incredible people, people I'd always dreamt of meeting. All of them charmed me, some more than others, and I definitely charmed them." The series, which features Dimoldenberg conducting deliberately awkward and often flirtatious interviews with celebrities in fried chicken restaurants, grew into a major platform. Her YouTube channel has amassed over 4.4 million subscribers, and the series has driven approximately one billion views.
