AMC Orders Happy Jack Starring Charlie and Martin Sheen

AMC Global Media has ordered Happy Jack, a six-episode multicamera comedy starring Charlie Sheen and Martin Sheen as a father and son, with production planned for Los Angeles in early 2027 and a premiere slated for later that year. The announcement makes the series AMC’s first multicamera comedy, but both production and release remain planned rather than completed. Charlie Sheen will play Jack, a father of two adult daughters, while Martin Sheen will portray Jack’s father, who helped raise the women. In the series premise, Kate runs Jack’s company and helps keep him on track. His other daughter, Sam, is more free-spirited and returns home with a boyfriend who is the same age as Jack, setting up a family conflict. AMC said the project comes from writers and co-showrunners Jim Patterson and Matt Ross, who previously worked together on Two and a Half Men and The Ranch. AMC Studios is producing the series. Charlie Sheen is also an executive producer, alongside Todd Christopher, Eric and Kim Tannenbaum, Jason Wang and 20th Television. The series is planned to be filmed before a live studio audience at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank.
