Alia Bhatt to Present Earthshot Prize Award in Mumbai

Alia Bhatt is slated to present one of the five Earthshot Prize awards at the 2026 ceremony in Mumbai, where Karan Johar is set to host an event expected to draw around 5,000 guests. Organizers have also announced that the awards night is planned to be streamed globally on Prime Video for the first time, with access expected in more than 240 countries and territories and over 40 languages. Bhatt is among a lineup of presenters and special guests that includes actor Rami Malek, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and British actress and musician Simone Ashley. The ceremony is intended to recognize people and organizations developing solutions to environmental challenges. The reports describe the guest count and broadcast reach as expectations for the planned event, rather than confirmed results. Bhatt said in a statement that she was looking forward to celebrating people working to protect and repair the planet. She described the prize as bringing together hope with ideas and action, and said hosting the gathering in Mumbai felt special.
