Actors Condemn AI-Altered Janhvi Kapoor Video

Actor Vijay Deverakonda has called for legal consequences over an AI-altered video depicting Janhvi Kapoor in explicit imagery, joining other Telugu film figures who have condemned the clip and urged action against those responsible. The video reportedly used footage of Kapoor from “Chuttamalle,” a song in Devara Part 1, and altered her appearance. The reports do not identify who created or first circulated the clip. Two accounts said it had been taken down from platforms, but the available information does not establish whether it was removed everywhere or remained accessible elsewhere. In a post on X on October 3, Deverakonda described the video as “the digital equivalent of sexual assault” and said those responsible should face legal consequences. His statement followed a public response from Jr NTR, who said he would pursue legal action against people who created or spread the clip. NTR also urged people not to engage with it. Actor Chiranjeevi said he would raise the issue with the Telugu Film Chamber, the Producers Council and other industry bodies.
