Abbey Road Music Photography Awards Finalists Revealed
The finalists for the 2026 Abbey Road Music Photography Awards have been announced, recognizing outstanding work from across the globe. The fifth edition of the awards, which celebrate the art of music photography and the talents behind the lens, received over 24,500 submissions from 42 countries. The ceremony to announce the winners is scheduled to take place on September 24 at the historic Abbey Road Studios in London. This year's competition features a wide array of artists, with notable musicians such as Oasis, Charli XCX, Fontaines D.C., Kendrick Lamar, and Geese appearing in nominated photographs. Two special awards have already been announced. Roberta Bayley will receive the ICON award for her extensive work capturing the 1970s punk movement, including iconic images of Iggy Pop, the Ramones, and Debbie Harry. Japanese photographer Masayoshi Sukita will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades-long collaboration with David Bowie, which included shooting the cover of the "Heroes" album, as well as his influential work with artists like Iggy Pop and Marc Bolan.
